Say “YES” To Most Anything BUT Carbs — Carbs Kill.

by Anura Guruge

nocarbscxgxv

Cutting back on carbs 3.5 years ago was THE BEST thing I ever did for myself — in all of my life.

Not only did I lose 28 – 30 pounds BUT I made dramatic improvements on the ‘blood sugar’ (i.e., glucose) and cholesterol fronts.

Yes, I cut back on carbs because I had hit the ‘pre-diabetic’ limit. I managed, just via diet and exercise, to bring down my glucose from 102 to 90. I am happy.

PLEASE do not believe this rubbish. Carbs will kill you — faster than what you deserve.

A Museum For The “Smiling Pope” — John Paul I, Who Could Have Been A GREAT Pope.

by Anura Guruge

From “CRUX“, August 22, 2016.

That he, a very enlightened and genuinely good soul, was only pope for 33 days is a tragedy. He could have done so much for the World.

One of my favorite alongside Pope St. John XXIII.

Not sure what happened. Can’t be 100% certain that ‘they’ (i.e., the Vatican ‘mafia’) used ‘Plan B‘ on him. Possible …

Much nicer pope than Pope Francis! Of that there can be no doubt or debate.

Why Does India (& Sri Lanka) Suck At The Olympics?

From the “Wall Street Journal” — and YES, they name cricket as ONE of the FIVE reasons. Click image to access original WSJ article.

Past Summer Olympics from “olympics.org”.

As I talked about yesterday, in my post about Rio 2016 medals/population, it just does not make sense why India with the world’s 2nd largest population ONLY got 2 medals.

China got 70.

Sri Lanka is guilty as well, with ZERO medals (again), though with 21 million people, it is the 57th most populous country in the World.

But it is the stark difference between China and India — the only two countries in the world with a BILLION PLUS population — that gives you pause.

Yes, I (like the WSJ article) instinctively knew that cricket was an issue.

In India, Sri Lanka & Pakistan cricket is the national poison — and cricket, as yet, is NOT an event.

India is NO LONGER a poor country! So they can’t use that excuse.

This is crazy. India has such a huge and diverse gene pool. They also play tennis and golf with gusto.

Just does NOT make sense.

India (and Sri Lanka for that matter), so PROUD of their cricketing prowess, should be ashamed that they can’t compete, even halfway decently, in other sports.

Enough said. Indians already have got the message. Not sure about the Sri Lankans. As I always point out, when I am mistaken to be an Indian, that Sri Lankans, alas and alak, are NOT as good looking or as smart as Indians. SMILE. [I can say that, of course.]

“Indigo Girls” At The “Capitol Center For The Arts” In Concord, N.H. On October 30, 2016.

I have always liked the “Indigo Girls”.

I have seen them perform, live, at “Meadowbrook” (Gilford, NH), a number of times. They are always brilliant (though I have had some concerns about the ‘behavior’ of some of their fans during the concerts (but that is a whole different matter)).

My son Matthew, when he was about 7 or 8, has been on stage with them! Yep. They saw him bopping away and asked me to bring him close to the stage. Then they reached down and picked him up and had him on the platform. It was a 2pm afternoon show, in the late 1980s, when “Meadowbrook” was still a rather laid-back openstage.

TDS Telecom Is LYING (And They Have Admitted To Lying)!

by Anura Guruge

Click to ENLARGE and read here. Letter I received yesterday.

I received this letter, in the mail, yesterday.

Note the LARGE RED “Required Equipment Upgrade”.

Note the 2nd paragraph: “To avoid interruption in your service …”.

NOT TRUE. This is a pathetic SALES LETTER!

Not true. Not true at all.

My equipment does NOT have to be upgraded.

I have the right equipment.

This was just a HUGE waste of my time. Bloody TDS.
