Fragment of “DPReview” side-by-side comparison.

Click to ENLARGE and study here. But this is but a fragment. Do the comp. yourself at DPReview. Easy enough.

I think the Canon EOS M5 compares v. favorably against the newly released (i.e., this month) Fuji X-T2.

If anything the “Dual Pixel Auto Focus” (DPAF) of the M5 should give it an edge when it comes to AF over the X-T2. The DPReview comparison does NOT bring that up.

Then there is the touch screen, latest (& fastest) image processor plus higher ISO, and to boot the M5 is 61% CHEAPER!

I think the M5, when available in November 2016, will be a significant challenge to the X-T2.

Meditation For The Day — The Wise Man & The Log Bridge.

by Anura Guruge

This is an ancient proverb, in Sinhalese, from Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), the country of my birth. It is one of my favorite proverbs.

You need to THINK about it for a second — and that thinking alone is ‘Brain Meditation‘.

It should be fairly easy to grasp. Its validity is beyond debate. I think of this saying often. I discuss it in the book. One of the very few potential drawbacks of ‘brain meditation’ is the log bridge dilemma — and in the overall scheme of things that is NOT a bad problem to have.

So, think about it. Try and remember it. Though we no longer have that many log bridges the meaning of this proverb is timeless.

PAX.

That is the background. Just struck me that the resemblance, to one familiar with the Turin Shroud, is uncanny. Click to ENLARGE and stare at. From PowerPoint 2016 — of course.
