Fragment of “DPReview” side-by-side comparison.

Click to ENLARGE and study here. But this is but a fragment. Do the comp. yourself at DPReview. Easy enough.

I think the Canon EOS M5 compares v. favorably against the newly released (i.e., this month) Fuji X-T2.

If anything the “Dual Pixel Auto Focus” (DPAF) of the M5 should give it an edge when it comes to AF over the X-T2. The DPReview comparison does NOT bring that up.

Then there is the touch screen, latest (& fastest) image processor plus higher ISO, and to boot the M5 is 61% CHEAPER!

I think the M5, when available in November 2016, will be a significant challenge to the X-T2.
