I Bought A Nikon P900, From BestBuy, Just Now — But I Am Not Thrilled!

I am FAR FROM happy. Actually I am bummed. This is NOT what I wanted to do, this is not how I wanted this to go!
The problem, basically, is that Amazon, for reasons that defeat me, do NOT have any! That explains 2 things. They were, until today, advertising the Nikon P900, $70 less than everybody else and YESTERDAY included a cryptic message that the order might take ‘a few additional days to ship’.
So that was my dilemma. I did NOT want the P900 till Thursday, i.e., September 1, 2016. I wanted a fews days decompression from having a camera. So my plan was to order it, from Amazon, on Monday. Then after I saw the “few additional days” I decided I better order it today. I go to order it and there are NO UNITS being sold/shipped by Amazon. Amazon is shipping an unit sold by somebody else; e.g., Adorama. I do NOT want a unit sold by Adorama.
At least with BestBuy I could get in-store pickup locally. That way I can check the box there. Hence the rationale.
Luckily, I was NOT planning to buy this using my Amazon Credit Card — though I have enough credit there, right now, to buy 23 of these cameras. Yep, Amazon will sell me 23 of these to me on my credit card balance.
I was going to buy in on Discover — and I did. Why? Price Match. I have a hunch that the P900 price will drop in the next 90 days. Discover says they will match that. Don’t know. Never used it. Did TRY ‘price rewind’ with Citi BUT like all Citi card benefits it was a SCAM.

I just happen to show 3 of my FRIENDS here — Lisa DiMartino, of course, running for State Rep, debonair Andrew Hosmer, running, as an incumbent, for New Hampshire State and “Mr. Nice Guy — Ever”, Mike Cryans, running for New Hampshire Executive Council.
And then there is Lisa’s surrogate daughter who has campaigned for Lisa since 2012, when she was 11 years old.

Deanna sent me the link since she knows that I like to ‘cover’ (though that is really not the right word) all things topless. And you have to admit that it is neat when your wife supports your fervor for promoting female toplessness. SMILE.
But, to be fair, as with New Hampshire, I have mixed feeling.
Female topless is PERMITTED in Vancouver — as it is in New Hampshire. So how can you FREE something that is already FREE? That is the reason why I got disillusioned with the New Hampshire “Free the Nipple” cabal.

At today’s, i.e., Saturday, August 27, 2016 — Gilford Old Home Day Parade.
Lisa DiMartino, by far, was the MOST sought after person in the parade. She having to ‘press the flesh’ on both sides of the parade meant that she was nearly 10 minutes BEHIND the last group of marchers! Yes, there was this huge gap. And I was at the start of the ‘dragging along’ Lisa block.
To I, this is Lisa running all the way to Concord. Go Lisa, GO.

The New Hampshire Squadron Of The “British Fleet” Was Out Again Yesterday.
Taken by Deanna with her Olympus SZ-16.
The oldest, BUT the junior member of this squadron, the one that gets the least exposure to the Sun.
As far as I can remember this was ONLY the 2nd time the whole fleet was out during the Summer of 2016.
Kind of a shame. But knew that that would be the case when we got the Jaguar XJS. That serves as the convertible.
I really must make an effort to get the MGB out.
It also shows, possibly embarrassingly (though it doesn’t really embarrass me), that we are now a 5 car family — all 5 cars, registered, insured and ready to drive.
