Horseback Riding With “Riding In The Clouds”, “Castle In The Clouds”, Moultonborough, NH — Quite The Experience.

This, way up on the top of a mountain, was quite the experience. Quite the treat too. Very relaxing and obviously enjoyable. Brilliantly docile horses. Piece of cake to ride — and I had my Fuji X-E2s in my hand much of the time. SMILE.

Definitely get close to an hour (say 55 minutes) of riding. About 10 minutes longer on horseback. But it is not ‘cheap’! SMILE. However, I suspect that this is probably the going rate in New England (though we have not ridden anywhere else (as yet) though Devanee did take some lessons quite a few years ago).

About 80% (maybe 85%) of the trail is through woods. That was great today since it was the hottest day of the year. Being in the woods mitigated the heat. Yes, there was a babbling streams in parts, a few small waterfalls and we had to go across a wooden bridge. That was neat. Some sweeping distant views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the Belknap Mountains beyond. That was nice. A cute little pond right at the end. It was fun.

Very professional outfit — run in the main (as is to be expected) by a very enthusiastic group of young ladies (assisted and abetted by a lone male). Everything was on schedule. No messing around. Very regimentalized.

Not the same as the incredible experience we had last year in Canyon de Chelly — but everything is magical in that enchanted Canyon.

You do NOT have to visit the ‘Castle’ or do any other tours to do the riding. Separate enterprise, separate entrance.

IF you are interested in getting some riding you should give it a try.

Jaguar XJ8, 2001, 59K For Sale In “Melvin Village”, N.H. For $7,500 — A Good Deal!

Saw it on the way to “Castle in the Clouds” this morning, to go horseback riding with “Riding in the Clouds“.

I stopped on the way back. It could be the TWIN of the XJ8 I own.

Mine is a 2002 and now has 63K on the clock. It had $57K when I bought it, in Pennsylvania, last May.

Asking $7,500. I would suspect you could get it for $7,000. Not a bad price. I am, however, NOT tempted. I can afford it … SMILE.

But not sure I want two identical XJ8s right now. One would have to be in storage and that is waste.

They had run out of business cards. So the KINDLY Mr. Sargent, who runs the place, turned around and said “take a picture of my back”. I did.

So call … and ask for Mr. Sargent and say that the “Brown Guy” sent you. SMILE.

I can’t tell you how good it feels to own and drive a XJ8 like that. Not as good as sex but it sure comes close. SMILE.
