My ‘DonJoy’ Post-Surgery Cold Therapy Unit Started Leaking Day #5!.
It was this pad that was leaking — at the bottom.
I had my quadriceps tendon repair surgery,
at ‘Frisbie Memorial Hospital‘ —
performed by Dr. Charles Blitzer
of ‘Seacoast Orthopedics‘
on Thursday, March 7, 2019.
Day #8 today.
Pain is still negligible!
I had told my surgeon, just a few hours earlier, that I had become addicted to this unit. It was doing a great job mitigating the pain. I had not needed any narcotics. Just this unit + Aleve/Tylenol at standard dosing.
Five days after surgery they had removed the pad, for the first time, when they took off my original dressing.
It started leaking as soon as I put it back. To say I was distraught would be an understatement.
Amazon couldn’t get me one for a week.
I lucked out. My wife went back to the hospital, next morning, while I was still asleep. They gave her a new pad. That was magical. Really helped.,
I am still icing my knee, though not as much as before. Learned that too much might not be too good. So, in moderation.

Come on. This is not cricket. He is an old man. He is even older than I am, and that is saying something.
Poor Bernie.
No respect. Story of his ‘not-so-poor’ life. Gets robbed of his nomination in 2016 and now somebody bonks him in the head.
We need to get to the bottom of this.
Shouldn’t Bernie have Secret Service protection. As I said, he is an old man.
Remember what they did to LOVELY Dr. Jill Biden in 2014. Why is it that it is the Democrats that always get beaten up — in every sense of the word.
Not right. We need justice here.
Get well soon, Bernie ol’ pal.
Hope this bonking doesn’t drive him more crazy. Maybe that is not possible.

Fatal Shooting, By 11-Year Old Boy, In Our New Hampshire Town, Alton, This Morning.

This morning, around 8:40am, I was trying to watch and digest the horrific news out of New Zealand when we got a call from the school to say that they were in LOCKDOWN because of a nearby shooting!
Ah!
By 8:55am we knew some of the details. As the day progressed we managed to piece together more.
It was unreal.
Very close to home on two counts. The shooting happened about 2.5 miles away, as the crow flies, from our house. We had driven by the road on Tuesday.
A 11-year old did the shooting. We have a 12-year old.
Though ours had been homeschooled for a year, she had gone to the local school, viz. ACS, for nearly 8-years. Was this a classmate? Somebody she knew? I knew of at least one child, albeit a 12-year old girl, who lived in that vicinity.
Around 1pm we were informed by the school that the 11-year was never registered at the school. So, I assume he was being homeschooled.
The names of the two victims were released this evening. Don’t know them. Might have seen them around.
I was wrong. I assumed that it would be the father that had been shot dead. No. The mother. The gun probably belonged to the father. Aren’t they supposed to be kept locked?
11-year old. Keep on trying to imagine what our 12-year was like last year. What would prompt a 11-year to do such a thing? Then take off into the woods, for 2-hours, in pjs. It was warm today, but not that warm and there is a lot of snow on the ground.
I have to say poor kid. His life will never be the same again.
He has been charged with murder! I am not sure how you can charge a 11-year old with murder? Isn’t he too young?
Just can’t imagine what must have been going through his head. I just hope he was not being abused.
Not sure what is more shocking Alton or NZ. Not sure that you can compare them or that a comparison is valid.
Both are horrific. Both are shocking. Both should never have happened.
What is happening to the world.
I am, however, pretty damn sure of one thing. Prayer is not going to fix either of these sad situation.
