The Ongoing Brexit Fiasco Distresses I For My Beloved Britain.

This is so NOT us. Who would have thought that we could balls this up. That is what gets me. This is NOT British. We are bigger and better than this.

It totally confounds I.

We have to have a Brexit. Us the people, voted legitimately, to have Brexit. You can’t go back on that.

This distresses I. My Britain. I don’t like to see us being torn apart like this.

My Latest ‘Wheels’ — Maybe The Spiffiest Of Them All.

My very first time. Always wanted to try one out. Never had the guts.

Yesterday I had no choice. Wow. Easy to drive and very maneuverable. You can turn it on a dime.

Had bad luck though. No, NO, contrary to Teischan’s fears I did NOT run anyone over and I did not play bumper cars with any carts though I pretended like I was going to.

Had the battery on TWO — yes two — die on I! That wasn’t funny.

Hoping that this is not going to become a habit. I like to be mobile on my own two feet.

Oh, this was at ‘Market Basket‘ Rochester, NH.

Cardinal George Pell Is Actually In A Prison Cell Now — NOT On Bail.

This full-length, 1-hour 8-minute sentencing hearing is worth watching
or, at a minimum, dipping into to get a flavor of the proceedings.

There was some confusion on this yesterday during his sentencing hearing; i.e., whether he would be allowed out, a free man, until his June 2019 appeal hearing. I made sure to double check,

He is in a prison cell. Has been for 15-days now. Two-weeks prior to yesterday’s sentencing hearing. So, he is no longer prancing around, cock-a-hoop. But, there is a chance that he might be able to wriggle free in June after his appeal hearing.

Right now he is on the permanent sex offenders list. Not sure what will happen IF he is acquitted on his appeal.

So, the pope now has the issue of one of his cardinals, an elector no less (i.e., under-80), is actually in a prison — and it is not Castel Sant’Angelo (the Vatican prison in the old days).

Maybe the pope is waiting for June, praying desperately and hoping for a miracle.

But, for now, Cardinal George Pell is actually in prison.

He probably is in isolation. I have to imagine that some red-blooded Australians, in prison, would want to have a word or two with him about his child abuse. Even hardened criminals don’t take kindly to this crime.

Can I Justify Getting The New Garmin MARQ ‘Athlete’ Or ‘Expedition’?

Though I try to keep up with Garmin rumors the announcement of the MARQ series caught me totally flat-footed (and that had nothing to do with my knee surgery last week).

Wow.

On , this morning, I was informed that the MARQ was $2,500, but I have since found out that that is for the ‘DRIVER’ model aimed at race drivers. That is a heavy watch, with a heavy metal band, not at all suited for my 24×7 wear.

The ‘ATHLETE’ & ‘EXPEDITION’, at $1,500 & $1,750 respectively, would be the logical upgrades to my Fenix 5 Plus.

Yes, I could upgrade, quite attractively & affordably, through the HRM USA VIP Club — I one of the founding members. Plus, I am a long-term GRMN shareholder. So, when Garmin does well I make out anyway.

But, but, but …

Yikes.

I hope I am wrong but at first glance this looks like but lipstick on my Fenix 5 Plus. Nothing majorly new, e.g., EKG/ECG, blood pressure monitoring or a superduper AMOLED display, to justify this premium pricing.

Yes, I need to do some research.

Yes, I might luck out and get one for evaluation.

Treat this as but a foreplay post. I will do more. This was just to get the subject on the table so to speak.
