From 3 different places in Wolfeboro — mall with the NH Liquor Store, by ‘Made on Earth‘/’Kalled Gallery‘ and at the town docks. The metal flowers are from the ‘Kalled Gallery‘. Still a very impressive array of flowers in the ‘Oldest Summer Resort in the U.S.A.‘

I have been going to ‘Made on Earth’ in Wolfeboro since 1992 — i.e., the last 25-years. I still have stuff, like a wooden , painted figurine of a striped pink cat fishing with a pole, from that long ago.

Just a few days ago ‘Made on Earth’ went online. I had a hand in making that happen, and I am honored to have made this a reality. I was at ‘Made on Earth’ this afternoon and took the above pictures.

A bit like California and the Gold Rush. It had to do with a gold rush. Gold was found in a farm nearby in July 1886. Reminiscent of Sutter’s Mill and Sacramento. Reflect.

Rome Fell For The Last Time, This Day 147-Years Ago, Paving The Way For Italian Unification — September 20, 1870.

Rome, with the Pope & the Vatican right there, was the last holdout when it came to the by then inevitable unification of the . Hence the significance of this day. Once Rome fell, 147-years ago the Rubicon had been well and truly crossed. Because of religious fervor the pope had to be appeased or at least humored. So, unification dragged onto 1871. But, the popes still claimed to be prisoners of the Vatican.

If anything we get closer to 12 hours 3 days later.
There is a reason for that. It is our latitude above the equator.
If we were closer to the equator it would have been closer to 12 hours.
