Will I Get The Now Hotly Rumored Sony a7 III — Most Likely, BUT NOT Right Away.

I am actually very happy with my 4-month old Sony a7 II. It is a delightful camera to use and I like Full-Frame! Who would have thought.

My biggest limitation is THE lens. I only have one lens for it — the Sony FE 24-240 (f/3.5-6.3). The image quality of that lens is NOT great and I struggle with that daily. I really will have to do something about that later this year — maybe for Christmas.

I know that I will eventually succumb to the a7 III because of the newer technology. And YES I will trade in the Model II.

But, I am going to wait. Two books I need to finish and publish first. PLUS, I am going to wait until I have taken 20,000 pictures with the a7 II. That is 9,000 more pictures as of today. At 20,000 I would have taken more pictures with the a7II than with any other camera I have ever owned.

If things go relatively smoothly we might be looking at April 2018. That is good. I would have had the II for nearly a year! Wow.
