Turbulent, But Mainly Unnoticed, Times At The Vatican, Senior Cardinals, Sarah & Pell, Rebuked By Pope Plus More …
With all of the turmoil around, not to mention the U.S. Presidential Election shenanigans, much is happening at the Vatican that is going unnoticed and uncommented.
True, in the global scheme of things, and especially in the context of all the machinations that have happened at the Vatican over two millennia, this is still ‘small potatoes’.
However, I feel obliged to bring it to your attention.
I am not sure WHAT Cardinal Robert Sarah was thinking? Did he think the Pope might not notice or let him get away with it?
Even if Francis didn’t notice, and that is possible, there would have been enough around him that noticed and cared.
This was pretty stupid on the part of Sarah.
What was he thinking?
Pell, at best, is on borrowed time.
He will probably be sent home soon.
But check out the SNIPPETS I include.
Google for more. A lot happening on the banks of the storied Tiber
(in addition to the routine retrieval of dead bodies).

“Far from the Madding Crowd” (2015), Now On HBO, Very Appealing To The Senses.
I saw it on the HBO schedule and recorded it — thinking it would be good for the kids. This week we watched it during our ‘Family TV’ time. It was outstanding in every way. Lusciously shot with vivid color and amazing detail. Great story, pleasing characters and engaging actors. With “Downton Abbey” (alas) now over “Doctor Thorne” and now this help assuage the need for good British drama. Talking of which, “Suffragette“, which was also recently on HBO, is really good and educational too. And “Carey Mulligan” stars in both.
So check out these movies. You will be glad I told you to. Enjoy.

Today, July 15, 2016, When Availability For Pentax K-70 Was To Be Announced, Confusion Reigns.
Today, July 15, 2016, was said to be when Ricoh
was said to announce the availability of the
rather impressive, and competitively priced,
Pentax K-70.
There are claims that it will start shipping
a week from today, i.e., July 22, 2016.
However, Amazon, this morning started
saying “Out of Stock”.
Ideally they should have said
“Available as of July 22, 2016”.

Contrary to Headline There Is No Evidence, Whatsoever, That Female Orgasms Enhance Fertility.

The headline shouts that “it does help if you orgasm“.
Then the body of the article clarifies that.
The female having an orgasm has yet to be demonstrated as boosting the chances of her getting pregnant.
As millions of women will sadly testify it is very easy for a woman to get pregnant without ever having had an orgasm during sexual intercourse.
I actually talked about this, at length, as Fact #28 in my 2015 book
“Orgasms: 101 Facts & Trivia”

New HBO “Criminal Justice” Series “The Night Of” With Pakistani-American Lead Is Riveting.
Click here to access the HBO Homepage for this 8-part series.
I, for the last couple of years at least, typically didn’t pay much heed to HBO series. Then the other night I happened to catch a few minutes of the new series “The Night Of” as I was channel surfing. The tense, tightly-shot police station scene, even at a glance, looked compelling enough to warrant few minutes of scrutiny. Wow. It was gripping. I was hooked. Luckily (as is usually the case with HBO) there were enough reruns during the week to ensure that I could record a complete episode — in this instance, episode 1 which aired last Friday, July 8, 2016.
Tonight we managed to watch about 40 minutes of it. It was good. Riveting. Well made. Very engaging. Strongly recommended. I am now recording the whole series.
