Carl Zeiss, Whose Name Still Denotes Quality Lenses, Was Born This Day 201-Years Ago; September 11, 1816.
If you are into photography ‘Zeiss’ will be a very familiar with the name. It is a kind of watchword among the cognoscenti. It is a crying shame that I do NOT, alas, own a Zeiss lens! I really should rectify that. Up until now, i.e., until I sent Full-Frame with my a7 II, the only one that was relevant was the Sony SEL1670Z 16-70mm f/4 and it gets such mixed reviews AND I do have the Sony 18-105mm which has a longer reach.
That said, I do keep over 200 of Zeiss lens wipes at any one time!
That he was born over 200-years ago is pretty amazing.
