Not sure how widely the date of this momentous event is known. I must confess that if you had asked me prior to now I would not have know the date.
I would have worked out that it was 1945 and had to have happened before May/June of that year.
Just wanted to make sure that you all knew and got a chance to reflect and give thanks. The world would have been a very different place …

It was a BLAST!
A true birthday bash with infectious bonhomie infused in the air.
So glad that I went — and I have to thank my friend, Mal Stirt, of Wolfeboro, for insisting that I do.
It my first time to Wakefield, let alone this delightful Pub!
I have driven on Rte 16 through Wakefield, so to speak, but I had never stopped or done anything in Wakefield until today. That is going to change.
As ever I lucked out in getting to spend some real special time with Jimbo Keating the co-founder and the iconic hobo’s alter-ego. That was a treat. He, however, did warn me that they are ‘packed’ right through the Summer and that there typically will be a 20 – 30 minute wait. Good to know.
The food was good. We only ordered one 43 cent burger! Given the crowds and rush it was a bit of a wait to get the food BUT it was OK.
I had a real fun time. Loved it. Loved the ‘Shake It‘ and ‘Wipe It‘ signs. Made my DAY!
