It is that time of year again. Needed to get my 2002 Jaguar XJ8 inspected. Well, there is only one person around here that I trust with my Jags. Paul Bousquet, “B-Boys Auto Repair” in Barnstead. Paul, always, has a magnificent display of flowers at his place and all the flowers are his. He is an amazing person. So many talents. The foliage was on the way back. I stopped at three places.

The backlit leaf is in our yard! What can I say. The other three in Barnstead — when I dropped of my Jaguar XJ8 for its inspection at ‘B-Boys‘.

Out and about two days running (in every sense of the word). Well it, i.e., the XJS, along with the XJ8, the MGB and the Nissan Quest, all needed to be registered prior to month end. Plus the XJS needed some petrol. For those of you who have never owned a Jaguar, Jaguars run on PETROL, not gas. Got that. This was at the Town Hall.
They are all registered. You can actually see the bright green 2018 decal on the number plate. Next step — having them inspected. In the case of the Jags that will be Wednesday.

I have NOT driven it much at all this year. I have, of course, been using my 2002 Jaguar XJ8 — though not that much either.
It is that time of the year. Both Jags and the MGB need to be registered by October 1 — which also means, in New Hampshire, that I have to get them inspected. So, I thought I should stretch the XJS’ legs prior to taking it to ‘Paul’ at B-Boys, in Barnstead, on Wednesday. It is a fun car to drive.

The picture says it all. They put synthetic oil in it and get me to have it changed every 5,000 miles. The last oil change was nearly a year ago! Yes, I put less than 5K on it last year!

Had to take the 2002 Jaguar XJ8 for an oil change at ‘B-Boys‘ on Gray Road, Barnstead, New Hampshire. Given that it takes 20-minutes to get home from ‘B-Boys‘ I didn’t see what I would gain, in terms of time, if I got a ride back home while they were doing the oil change. Instead, I decided I will go for a long walk, rather than doing my morning run, while the car was being serviced. So I walked down Gray Road and into Province Road. Walked about 4 miles. Quite the walk. Took these pictures during that jaunt in 80°F.

I had to stop by the new ‘Alton Car Wash’ this afternoon. I was visiting my friend Jessica Rothwell at her new ‘Bella Winni Salon‘ that is next door. I couldn’t resist taking some pictures. Took the Jaguar XJ8 through the car wash. It did a good job.
