Lady Slippers, 2018, Central New Hampshire — First Sighting, May 14!

I have been looking for them — viz. our Lady Slippers.
Given the unusually chilly Spring we have had I expect them to blossom a bit late.
I now know where to look. We have an area, close to home, that has had a profusion of Lady Slippers the last few years.
So, this morning, while walking the dogs, I checked. Found these two ‘prepubescent’ blossoms. Went back later with my .
