I Sold My Nikon P900 Mega-Zoom On eBay This Morning, Within 2-Hours — I Currently Have NO Cameras!

This was what you could call an impulse sale. I had not been planning to sell this Nikon P900. I had it for 2.5 years and was quite fond of it. It has unparalleled zoom capability and can take some awesome macros. So, I was going to hold onto to it.
But, I was not using it. Last time I used it was in October 2018 — over 6-months ago. Ideally I would have liked to have given it to somebody. But, nobody wants a camera these days — they are quite content with using their smartphone. And as cameras go, this, with its huge zoom, is heavy & bulky.
So, I took some pictures of it, using my , and listed it on eBay. Yes, I low-balled the ‘Buy It Now’ price. I did not want to relist it because that costs more money. I just wanted to get it done with. And I did not have to wait long. Definitely less than 2-hours.
Plus, now, eBay nor PayPal hold onto the money you get. It is available — instantly. That is nice.
So, I have sold all my cameras. This time last year I had 3 cameras: Sony a7 II Full Frame, Sony a6500 APSC and this mega-zoom Nikon P900 — in addition to my Google Pixel 2. Now I have no cameras. Yes, I plan to get a Canon EOS RP within the next 2 weeks.

Sold My Sony SEL 24-240mm Zoom Yesterday — I Am Now Fully Divested Of All My Sony Kit.

I was hoping to be at this point — i.e., having NO Sony kit — a bit sooner than now. But, that is OK.
I sold my 90mm, my 2nd most used lens, in February 2019. Then I busted my knee. That set me back a few weeks.
The 90mm and Sony a7 II body both sold on eBay within 90-minutes. So, I had kind of got spoiled.
The 24-240mm zoom lens went the full-distance of 7-days — with the price going up $85 in the last few seconds. I guess others aren’t as fond of that lens as I was. It was my favorite lens.
So, I am all set to get a new Canon EOS RP system. This time, I am not going to get many lenses. At most four — BUT now I can get NEW lenses for under $100. This was the ONLY reason I abandoned Sony. The lenses were expensive and you couldn’t get any good all-in-one zooms.
Wish me luck.

I Am Leery Of Camera Bundles, But They Can Be So Tempting.
Ah, the joys, challenges and frustrations of looking for a new camera. Yikes. Having not bought one for nearly 2-years I had forgotten the choices you have to evaluate.
I was convinced that I had talked myself out of camera bundles. But, it appears that the temptation is still strong and I di buy my Sony a7 II as a bundle.
So, so many bundles — on Amazon. Mind blowing. Yes, I immediately reject some — e.g., Beach Camera.
You just don’t know who you can trust. Yikes, again.

I Sold My Full-Frame Sony a7 II (Body Only) On eBay, Today, In 90-Minutes, For $650 + Shipping.
I finally did IT. Wow.
I have been saying I am going to sell this, my last remaining Sony, since at least last October. I had said I would sell it when I had taken 20,000 pictures with it. Well, I sailed past that landmark in June 2018.
I had taken 30,455 pictures with it.
This was the last picture I took with it — on March 3, 2019, in Wellfleet on the Cape. I haven’t used it since given that I have been on crutches.
I had it for 1 year, 10 months and 3 weeks; i.e., 690-days. I took 30,455 pictures with it during that time. That comes to 44 pictures a day — though I didn’t use it every day. So, I can never be accused of not using it. As I have articulated before I am fed up with the limitations and costs of Sony full-frame lenses. Hence, my parting of ways with Sony.
I still have one last Sony lens for sale — on eBay. I hope it sells.
I do NOT plan to get another camera for at least 3-weeks. No point getting a Full-Frame while I am on crutches. Not practical to hold one and i don’t want to drop it.
Right now it still looks like the recently available . But, that could always change,
