We, as you must have realized, are huge fans of ‘The Castle In The Clouds‘ and ‘attached’ ‘Carriage House Restaurant‘. We try to eat there as often as we can, but are also often thwarted in that they are so, so busy.

This is the first I had heard about these Winter 2019 Sunday buffet brunches. I am a brunch addict. This looks GREAT. I am going to try and go as soon as I can.

Just wanted to share it with you.

Happy New Year.

Our second “Christmas at the Castle”, last year having been our first. By now we are, however, reaching ‘veteran’ status in terms of visits. This I think was our eighth visit to the ever enchanting “Castle In The Clouds“.

It was, of course, good. Big change in terms of weather from last year. No snow last year and it may have been a tad warmer. But, compared to the last few days it was warm — in the mid-30s Fahrenheit. But, it wasn’t too crowded. Strange. The parking lot was overflowing and people were parking on the access roads. But, the Castle itself was relatively sparse in terms of visitors. That was nice.

If we were to be honest, the decorations were not as lavish and grand as last year’s. I didn’t check but I suspect they had less donated ‘tableaus’ than last year. But, it still was good, pleasing and worth seeing. We had fun. I took 290 pictures.

There was also the craft fair. That was pretty crowded.

After a 45-minute wait we gave up on eating at the “Carriage House Restaurant“. They looked rushed and harried and the seating seemed cramped. So, we drove down the road to “Buckey’s” as we had done on another visit. They are always good.

So, highly recommended. Two thumbs up with no caveats.

Thank YOU, “Castle in the Clouds” — and we plan to be there next Christmas as well.
