For the last few years we have made a point of not missing Concord’s vibrant ‘Market Days‘. So, 2019, was not going to be an exception. We had to be in Concord anyway (for I to pick-up some new gas permeable contact lenses) and we knew beforehand that the weather (unlike the previous day) was going to be amenable. And that was indeed the case.
We got there around 2:40pm. Parking was NOT an issue. We were able to park, at a meter, on South Main street just yards from the start of the blocked off section. That was good. There was no rain. Some dark clouds on and off. But, also some sun.
Met some great artists. That is always the bonus.
Everybody is so friendly and after the soaking they had on Thursday happy that the rain had been replaced by crowds. I hope they all did well. Not sure why we need 5 or 6 separate large tents all selling the same ‘South American’ artifacts. None of them are local. We did buy some stuff from one of them and I had a brief chat with the proprietor. He is from New York and drove up for this. He claims he also does Sandwich Fair. Not sure that they are all related but to I it would make sense just to have two tents. But, c’est la vie.
If you can please do try to make it.
Concord is vibrant. They really make an effort. Thank you.
