Teischan’s Art Now Includes Carpentry With Power Tools.

This has all to do with the total overhaul she is doing to her room — which includes some massive and very impressive wall murals. She will NOT let me take any pictures yet! She wants to finish it first.
When she was little I had put, at great trouble and cost, a TON of wooden shelving in her room so that she would never be short of space for her books, videos and games. Well, when she decided she was going to paint the wall she, laboriously, took 95% of the shelves down. She plans to put some of them back up, but to her specification and design.
She wanted to cut the shelves herself. So, I set her up using the chop saw I got last year when I installed deck railing. She was nervous and hesitant at first and wanted me to hold the saw with her. But, after about the third cut she was all set. It was good to see. She is very cautious and has good self-preservation instincts. So, I knew she wouldn’t chop off her hands.
