The imposingly picturesque “Cape Town”, South Africa — with its iconic Table Mountain.

South Africa is one of my favorite cricket teams. I never miss any of their games on Willow — my 24×7 cricket channel on Roku. Plus, I usually read any news I see about SA.

So, I was very surprised the other day when I came across this “Day Zero” story. I Googled and read a couple of articles to make sure I got the drift.

Wow.

Earlier in the month I had watched the 1st Test Match, SA vs. , from Cape Town. The ground looked lush and everybody seemed happy and prosperous. No indication, whatsoever, that they were all staring at an abyss.

Yes, a 3-year drought. I guess some are hoping for non-stop rains in the next 2-months to avert this disaster.

4 million people.

This could be serious. Very serious.

You would have thought that SA, not a poor country by any means, could have done more. I guess water can be shipped in. Not sure how much water they have in the entire country. It is not a small country.

I will keep you posted.
