‘Fort Knox’, in Bucksport, Maine, on the banks of the Penobscot River, is a compact, impressive and scenic spot. We visited in September of 2014, on the way back from Acadia National Park, and loved it.

That they are holding a tattoo at a Fort rather than a ‘festival’ or ‘games’ is cute. Of course it will not be the Edinburgh Castle Tattoo, which can never be paralleled, but it should be evocative enough if the weather cooperates. So an early heads up. I will even keep you posted on the weather.

Remember June 4, 2016 ‘Scottish Festival‘ at ‘Old Orchard Beach‘. Maine is giving New Hampshire a run for its money when it comes to Scottish musical entertainment.

Some pictures of ‘Fort Knox‘ I took in September 2014 with my then Canon Rebel T3i
(which Devanee uses now).
