Though I got a (with a TP-Link Power Extender Internet connection), in mid-February, so I could get Willow Cricket, I, until this week, never really watched any cricket on Willow because I discovered the ($99) ESPN 2015 package for covering the entire 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup. I spent 7 weeks, and probably in excess of 60 hours, watching the World Cup and enjoyed every second of it. It was an exceptional World Cup and ESPN amazed with the slickness of their coverage — with nary a technical or quality issue. Pretty amazing to deliver all those hours of video, over the Internet, seamlessly, with no jitter, jiggles or pixelation. ESPN way exceeded my expectations.

It is only during the last few days that I have finally gone back to Sling TV International (née DishWorld International) to watch Willow. Over the last 3 days I have been watching the SA v WI 3 ODI, from South Africa, ahead of the World Cup. Willow’s coverage, from SuperSports, is good. I will get used to it in time. I am kind of working out the details. Picture quality is good. I am enjoying it — if not the WI batting.

Then I started seeing all their Ads for the forthcoming series. I was blown away. There is going to be an avalanche of cricket coming my way. That the England tour of the West Indies is all Test Matches — April 13 (Antigua), April 21 (Grenada) & May 1 (Barbados) — is pretty exceptional. I guess we have all had a surfeit of ODIs. Fair enough. I am looking forward to some proper cricket in white clothing. I get mesmerized during Tests. I just watch in a trance. I like the ebb and flow. The tactics within tactics. The chess being played on a 22 yard pitch.

Well, I will keep you posted. Not sure what TEN Cricket will be showing during this time. Looks like Willow has signed up all of the plumb series.

Am I glad I got that Roku. Best thing that I have bought in eons.
