5-more days on crutches. Will be glad to ditch them.
Doing OK. This was in Wolfeboro. I was getting ready to go for a walk along ‘Cotton Valley Trail‘ on crutches. I did some of it, but it was cold and windy.
As you might have noticed I am not shaving as much as I used to prior to the injury.

Still on crutches and a full, locked leg brace — but still insisting on hobbling about. Both legs are atrophying in front of my eyes. But, no pain. Of that, I am glad. I was dreading having to live with pain.
As far as I know, I have to be on crutches for 2 more weeks. If they try to force me to use them any longer we are going to have an issue. I am resigned that I will have to wear a knee brace for the rest of my life. I probably will need to wear two — one on top of the other.
Well 3-weeks post surgery and I am still around. Sorry.

I actually took these pictures to show-off the close and comfortable shave I managed to get with the new Gillette SkinGuard razor. Then, I realized that these were also ‘selfies my way‘.
So, here is what is kooky. This is the mirror in MY bathroom. I have never taken a ‘selfies my way‘ using that mirror — and it is the mirror I spend most time in front of! That is typical I. Well, now I have rectified it.
Yes, I am topless. Bottomless too. I am not exactly shy.
Well 3-weeks post surgery and I am still around. Sorry.

As I said in the prior selfie-post, I am sure I am just trying to convince myself that I am still alive — albeit a hopeless cripple on crutches. You can actually see my crutches in the 2nd picture.
This was taken at home. I am not getting about much for obvious reasons. We have four bathrooms in the house, and this was the mirror in one of them.

Five days after my major knee surgery on . This was on the way back from seeing the surgeon, for the first time, since the operation. It was just to get the original dressing taken off.
Stopped, for the very first time, at the Rochester “Granite Steak & Grill”. Took this picture there.
P.S., I didn’t do a very good job shaving.

No post-processing whatsoever!
Second day after my major knee surgery on . Just about 48-hours because the ‘what had been outstanding‘ nerve block catheter was running out of juice — exactly as they had told me.
First outing since the surgery. We had to go to the dump. Took our Ford Taurus. Not as easy getting into it as is the Nissan Quest. But, I managed.
I couldn’t get in and out. I was stuck in the car. Then I saw this apparition in the rearview mirror. Couldn’t resist.
