The Sony RX10 Mk II, contrary to what you will see on Amazon, is NOT available in the U.S. as yet.
I spoke with a number of knowledgeable sources on this on Friday, July 31, 2015.
Sony Dealers may get their 1st shipment THIS week, i.e., w/o August 3, 2015.
What folks are doing is taking PRE-orders.
Most U.S. dealers will get 12 units in their 1st shipment.
I am on a wait-list at Sony U.S.
I do NOT need it right away. I have to finish a book first. So I can wait 2 to 3 weeks. Have a feeling that that might be best. First batch could have issues.
From what I can gather some units were available in the U.K. mid-July.
There are some good Sony RX10 II videos, from the U.K., on YouTube. I sourced 2 for you below. Check them out. Then at least you will be better prepared when YOUR Sony arrives.
