with entire Olympus Press Release.
Well the much anticipated Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk II, as was expected, has been announced at PhotoKina 2016. But the wording on Olympus’s press release is curious. It says: “Olympus Announces The Development Of Its New Flagship Camera …”
“Announces The Development” …
Claims that the camera will come LATER this year, i.e., 2016.
Does that mean December 2016 — the Canon M5 slated to be available in the first week on December.
The specs, as I always expected them to be, are FORMIDABLE. It looks like it will be one heck of a camera.
But, in the end, push-comes-to-shove, the Olympus despite all of its bells and whistles is a Micro Four-Thirds (4/3″) and the Canon M5 is an APS-C — and sensor size does matter. I might, however, be TEMPTED to wait to see what the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk II can really deliver.
