COVID-19 NH: Testing STILL NOT Available To All In N.H.; Even If You Are In Hospital!
We are over 2-months into THE pandemic & TESTING in New Hampshire is FAR from available to all.
Just to a very limited SUBSET.
So here is the kicker.
I heard from somebody who is IN HOSPITAL — at New Hampshire’s FAMED ‘Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center‘ (DHMC) in Lebanon. A research & teaching hospital no less. They don’t have enough tests. You have to meet the age or employment criteria or have symptoms. IF not, you can’t have it. That is STUPID. That is crazy.
I heard that New York is now doing a MILLION tests a week.
Well, a million tests would just about cover ALL of New Hampshire.
But, we don’t have enough tests!
And NOBODY is mentioning this.
I meet the over-60 criteria. So, I can get one.
I don’t want one. Don’t see the point. Right now, I have no symptoms.
They can tell me I am negative & I could be positive 24-hours later. I could have caught it by going for the test.
Would be SLIGHTLY more interested in the antibody test. But, even that, right now, would be a waste. I really haven’t had any symptoms. So, very UNLIKELY I had it without I realizing it. Given my age & poor heath, I would have KNOWN it even if I had a touch. So, I am not going to deprive a more worthy person from getting a test.
But, thought YOU should know.

COVID-19 NH: Hardly Any Outdoor Dining In State Capital, Concord (N.H.)
It was 11:30am, on a Sunny (but a tad mild (@60F)), Tuesday — 2nd day that New Hampshire restaurants were open for outdoor dining.
But, it was ALL empty or NOT set up.
We just saw two folks, a mother & daughter — & I drove up/down North & South Main St. as well as Loudon Road.
‘Red Arrow’ diner had picnic tables outside but was only doing takeout — and they were NOT busy.
I was sure (that my friend) Alex Ray’s “Common Man” would not only be all set-up, BUT BUSY. I was wrong. It was empty. Not set-up for outdoor dining. That makes no sense. They have a huge car park ideal for it.
So …
So?
What gives?
Just time?
This week, from what I see, will be kind in terms of weather. No heavy rain. Doesn’t look good.
Stopped by “Dominick’s“, in Chichester, on the way back. Another joint with a HUGE car park. EMPTY with a sign on the door that said “CLOSED”.
I was amused by her (and yes, it is a ‘her’) message on the sign.
Does SHE realize the coded message that was in THE SONG?
‘Help from my friends‘. HHHmmmm. SMILE.
I am sure. That would definitely help. SMILE.

I Hope You Can’t Get Coronavirus COVID-19 From Ticks.
I really hope that ticks can’t spread the virus. If they can, I am SCREWED. Ticks are back in New Hampshire. Just picked a huge one off Maya. Given my long walks — in the woods — I get bitten often. So far, I have lucked out. I also think I have picked up some immunity against tick bites — I think/I hope.
But, as far as I know, I have ZERO immunity against COVID-19. So, if a tick can transmit it, I am screwed.
Now, the Red Cross is CLAIMING that the virus can’t be transmitted via blood — e.g., blood donation/transfusion. But, I doubt that they know for sure, for sure.
Yikes.
And don’t tell me to avoid getting tick bites. Impossible, unless I just stay indoors — and even then I could get one from the dogs.

‘COVID-19 Comet’ The Nickname For C/2019 Y4 (ATLAS) Which Could Light Up The Skies In May — As The Virus …
It is common to give major comets nicknames based on when they will make their appearance. So, we have had: ‘great March comet‘, ‘Christmas comet‘, ‘Thanksgiving comet‘ etc.
Well, the expectation is that C/2019 Y4 (ATLAS) will start to peak around May 2020. That will also be when COVID-19 is really making its mark in the U.S.
With luck, the ‘COVID-19 Comet‘ will be a distraction. A heavenly sign that things are coming to an end.
Whatever, there is no other apropos name for this comet, C/2019 Y4 (ATLAS). It has to be the COVID-19 Comet.

How I Am Coping With The COVID-19 Pandemic. Lot To Be Said For My Approach.
Can YOU Really Be Sure That Coronavirus (COVID-19) Test Results Are TRUE?
IF you are news junkie as I am, you would have heard that the first batch of Coronavirus test kits sent to Seattle — to that infected Nursing Care facility — were defective.
You did KNOW that … right?
Those tests claimed ‘negative’ though that was NOT the case.
Yes, I am a professional cynic.
I have previously wondered whether hospitals/labs really test your blood! They can just make up numbers. Come on. This is the U.S. of A.
So, I am not 100% convinced that the Coronavirus test kits are all totally kosher.
Think about it. THINK.
You get a negative result, they tell you it is just a bad case of the normal flu. What next ….
Think.
