I first saw these videos in the early 1970s during some of my physics classes at the University of Swansea. I think I was being taught about simple harmonic motion. But, everybody in my class agreed that my example, i.e., it is the motion of an unconstrained female breast when the subject is running, was even better than watching this bridge collapse.

Just 77-years ago. We have come a LONG WAY!

I hope you have all seen this before — I mean the bridge collapsing, not females jogging.

This is so cool and PERSONAL on multiple fronts.

Swansea is my emotional home — the place that I grew up, in so many ways. I attended the University (College) of Swansea from September 1971 to June 1974. It was GREAT period of my life. I had a BALL.

Know Mumbles well. Used to go down for chips, the scenery and the seagulls that loved to steal the chips.

That whole bay, see below, has one of the largest tidal reaches in the World.

I Am Probably The Last Person Swansea University Would Want Seen In This Sweatshirt.

When I got the unsolicited e-mails pushing these “Swansea University” sweatshirts, most likely because I say on Facebook that I do have a B. Sc. (Hons) from Swansea, I could not resist.

I have fond memories of Swansea, 1971 – 1974. I had a blast.

It wasn’t, to be fair, “Swansea University” 40-years ago. It was the “University College of Swansea” affiliated with the “University of Wales“. It was actually better than that. It was, as you can below, on my actual graduation certificate, was “Cambria“, the Latin name for Wales from the Welsh original “Cymru“.

The certificate below spells it all out, classically, in Latin. What it does not say is what subject I got my degree in. Cute. It was Computer Technology.

Nice sweatshirt. Nice material.
