Did YOU know about this. It was installed Sunday — yesterday.

I just happened to see it, in passing, on CNN.

I wanted to share it with you.

Very clever. Very moving.

I never realized that 20,000 seats looked that BIG — & it is ONLY representing 1/10 the DEAD! WOW.

MY MAN, Churchill, waving to the crowds in London with them ROARING back “It was YOUR victory” once he had told them that “It was YOUR victory”. THEY knew who had won the WAR for whom.

From (of course) the U.K. Daily Mail (my favorite paper of all times). Click to ENLARGE and savor. The day after the Parliamentary Election. Beautiful site. So British. Makes me SO proud but also very homesick. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/ushome/index.html

It is good that Google remembered
BUT how can THEY get it so, so wrong!

VE day, Victory Europe, was NOT, I repeat NOT,
the end of World War II.
The bloody Japanese still had to be subdued!
There was a bomb involved. Doesn’t Google know U.S. history?

Google’s “Remembering WW II” online exhibition. Check it out. Do a Google and go to footnote.
