This is big, actually HUGE, by any measure. Two European, albeit British, Rugby legends cum giants, playing an actual Premiership fixture in the U.S. — at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.
Yet another attempt to familiarize Americans with the sheer beauty of true British sports — cricket & Rugby. IF American audiences would JUST watch some good Rugby for 20 minutes they will realize that American football is so flaccid. So slow, so stop-start. I hope this match is televised.
Rugby in Britain is VERY EXCITING.

Colonel Henry Steel Olcott [2 August 1832 – 17 February 1907], born in New Jersey, an officer during the Civil War, and a member of the committee that investigated Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, is NOT a well known figure in the U.S.
Henry Steel Olcott is a well known and well respected legend. His greatest and justified claim to fame is that he founded a number of Buddhist schools in Ceylon, my old alma mater, Ananda College, in Colombo, with 6,000 students in my time [i.e., 1958 to 1967] and now [per Wikipedia, 5,000], the largest. We were ‘taught’ about Olcott and his picture hung in the school (and I must admit that he comes across as being a bit scary, when you are a 6-year old boy in shorts, not used to men with such luxuriant beards).
Olcott other claim to fame was that he, with his ‘good friend’, Russian-born Helena Petrovna Blavatsky [1831 – 1891], converted to Buddhism in Ceylon — at that time the highest profile Westerns to do so. They were also the founders of the (to me the always very strange and confusing) Theosophical Society.
Anywho, I just thought I would share this with you. Checkout the Theosophical Society. It might appeal to YOU.
Why Is Chubby Christie Even Mentioning ‘Nudity’ When ‘Christie’ & ‘Nude’ Are NOT Two Words You Want In The Same Sentence.

Now to be fair I like the C.C.C.! I appreciate what he did for my President. Thanks buddy.
Prince Harry cracks me up. That he is considered Royal is so very British. I am not that great at seeing family resemblances but I ‘knew’ James Hewitt and to me the resemblance is beyond uncanny.
As somebody I know, who too has British Blue Blood though his ancestors were from the wrong side of the Royal blanket said: ‘I have to be drunk and squinting NOT to see the resemblance‘.
Yes, while I know of all the denials I just can’t help see his ol’ dad in him. Not that it matters. It is all part of the rich tapestry of royal heritage. And now that I am a born-again Royalist, I will support him and root for him irrespective. Good genes in any case.
I don’t get C.C.C. Does he force his wife to see him naked or do they have a truce? I definitely hope so, because that reminds me of cruel and unnatural punishment, even for a woman married to a Republican. Yikes.
But please C.C.C. Don’t talk about nudity. Not a nice word coming from you. I will confess that it is quite a powerful deterrent against eating, not that I have any problems when it comes to overeating these days.
