Rochester is always a good hunting grounds for pictures of flowers. Today was no exception. I lucked out. I think I still have at least a month left in terms of being able to snap pretty flowers OUTSIDE before the snow arrives in New Hampshire. So, I am going to make the best of that. Foliage is early this year. Very early. So, with luck I will be able to transition from flowers to foliage. Enjoy.

All of these were essentially in or around the New Durham public library. I always make a point to take my camera when I visit New Durham, year round, because it is such a picturesque ‘little’ town (and yes, many years ago, I did own a lakeside property there, though we never went into New Durham per se since we were much, much closer to Wolfeboro). In the summer they go all out with the flowers. Enjoy.

I already raved about the astounding ‘Indian Museum‘. The amazing display of flowers that they had, all around the museum was something else. Wow. Such color. Such variety. Strategically planted, well tended. Feast for the senses. I loved them. As this blog will testify I am a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to lilies. So, when I tell you that this was the best showing of lilies I have seen in a very long time please take note. I am sure I have never seen some of the colors they had. Just a treat.

It really should be billed as ‘Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum & Flower Display‘.

If you click on the GPS map (above) or just <here> you can read about my walk along the ‘Stickney Bike Path‘ and Turkey Pond. These are some of the pictures I took, with my Canon EOS RP, during that very enjoyable 2-jour jaunt. I wanted to share with you. Enjoy.

I was lucky enough to spend much of the day, today, at the always delightful and tranquil ‘Kimball Jenkins Art School‘, in Concord, New Hampshire. When I got there just before 9am it was bright and sunny. But, without taking any pictures, I went for a extremely gratifying one hour walk along the disused tracks by Horseshoe Pond. I did NOT take my camera or my phone. I wanted to enjoy the solitude and I did. When I got back the Sun was GONE. It started raining a bit later. So, this wasn’t the best light. But, it was still OK.

Just a quick, basically random shoot. As is so often the case with my life these days I was in a rush. So, I did not have the time nor the inclination for a studied, studious, diligent shoot. t was basically a matter of point-and-shoot, click … click … click. Some came out quite decently. That pleased I. Hope you enjoy. More to come. Cheers.
