None of the lake at noon yesterday, December 30, 2017.
Then New Year’s Eve 2018, December 31, 2017, there is ONE. Ice must have just got thick enough. Impressive. As you can see JUST the Bob House. No people! Kind of cold. It was, at best, 3°F when I took these pictures.
In a couple of weeks we should have 30 or more. I will post as we go along.
Happy New Year.

China, following the Russia & the U.S.A., was only the 3rd country in the World to conduct a spacewalk from one of their own spacecrafts. French, Japanese, Australian & Swedish had done so before the Chinese — but either from the Russian MIR space station or from U.S. space shuttles.
The Chinese spacewalk came a full 43-years after the very first spacewalk, by Russian Alexey Leonov on March 18, 1965.
The first American spacewalk was that same year, 77-days later.

Twitter was founded on March 21, 2006.
But it was not available as a service until July 15 of that year. So, folks within Twitter did send out Tweets as of March 21 BUT the service only went live for us, the public, 11 year ago, today.

It is UP THERE, way up there. I have never been that far north within New Hampshire! They might still have snow up there.
First Annual. So, it is the first. As such I can’t say I have ever been to it.
Thinking about it. Just wanted to make sure you knew about it.

This Day, 56-Years Ago, Yuri Gagarin Became The First Human EVER To Enter Space (And Orbit The Earth To Boot)!
I was 7 years old. But, of course, knew who he was.
I got to shake his hand.
To this day, I consider this one of the highlights of my rather uneventful life.
Yes, we commemorated his birthday which was on March 9 (1934).
So he went to space 34-days after his 27th birthday.
He died, tragically, when he was 34.
