For the last two weeks, all day, starting at 7am, it has been a constant barrage of chainsaws screaming, chippers chipping and heavy trucks trundling by with wood chippings and logs.

These pictures don’t do justice PLUS I didn’t trespass into where the major deforestation is taking place. This is a huge, 45 acre+, lot.

I am very pragmatic when it comes to trees being cut down. I do appreciate that it is a renewable source and that all of New Hampshire is said to be in its 3rd, yes 3rd, tree growth cycle.

I do not begrudge anybody from trying to make money. Making money is a noble endeavor. When I owned land I had thought about selling logging rights for money. So, I am NOT complaining.

Just sharing something than many, not living in central NH, may not realize.

I do see the irony. Oil prices are way, way down.

Firewood prices are UP and it has to do with Fracking.

What a world.

Just two days ago I did a post on the sea of yellow and amber in which we are currently living — with no complaints, of course. Yesterday, on my run, I couldn’t but help notice that it was as beautiful as ever and that I should take more pictures to capture the spirit. So on Thursday morning, on my run, I took along Teischan’s (latest) $80 ‘beat-up’ 12MP Samsung TL205.

So here are more pictures. Enjoy.

The Fall Foliage 2015 in New Hampshire as I shared with you in numerous picture-studded posts was quite amazingly spectacular. Colors Gone Wild! It was a memorable year for vivid reds. Most agreed that it was one of the best years for foliage in a long time.

Well, though foliage is said to have peaked we, in the Lakes, are still drowning, daily, with delight, in color. Mainly yellows, oranges and amber. I can’t remember ever seeing this much YELLOW. Wow. Some of the country roads that I drive through are BUT tunnels of yellow. I took all the pictures below, on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, within a few hundred yards of the house — many from our yard. This is our view. It is amazing. I wanted to share it with YOU.
