The Ex-Pope Is Lying About Not Co-Authoring ‘Anti-Celibacy’ Book — Plain & Simple.

Any publisher, let alone one as seasoned as ‘Ignatius’, would NOT incur the cost of printing a book and creating a cover UNLESS they had a watertight contract signed up all the authors. I know. I have published books with 4 publishers.

A publisher will not spend a dime until they have a contact. That makes sense.

So, the Ex-Pope is LYING. Plain and simple.

The Ex-Pope Has No Right Or Business To Interfere With Decisions Being Made By Pope Francis.

When he resigned the deal was that
he would not interfere, would not comment.

He said he would devote himself to prayer & meditation.

He just proved why it isn’t kosher to have living ex-popes.

Beyond the bloody pale. Plus in a book being sold for PROFIT. He is a shameless German.

He wasn’t a very good pope. He is turning out to be a dreadful ex-pope.

This is unacceptable.

Pope Francis, alas, is lame in many ways. He will let this insult pass. Shame. If Francis was a forceful he would excommunicate the ex-pope and kick him back to Germany. But, that will not happen. Instead this shameless ex-pope — with his female muse and live-in male secretary — will now go onto continually undermine the pope.

This is why I have always opposed letting popes resign/retire. Just does not work.

The U.K. ‘Daily Mail’ Again Confuses ‘Celibate’ With ‘Continence’ (A.K.A. ‘Abstinence’).

Yes, I know. Many people do use ‘celibate‘ to mean ‘not having sex‘. But, that becomes very convoluted when you apply it to married folks because the true definition of ‘celibate’ is not being in a relationship. That is how ‘celibate’ came to have this secondary meaning, though it is no longer the case, i.e., IF you are not in a relationship then you are not having sex!

The correct word is ‘continence‘ or ‘abstinence’.

Yes, the improper use of this word bugs I. But, I am a pedant as to the correct usage of the Queen’s beautiful English.

As I write this I am holding in my hand a book by British Nigel Cawthorne entitled “Sex Lives of the Popes”.

As some of you know I lead a very sheltered life and I have even been asked whether I was celibate, SO I don’t actually understand Chelsea Handler’s remark as to what penetration has to do with power … I worry. Is she just talking about us males? What about the fairer sex? Very strange.

But, popes are noted for remaining celibate! Maybe he dropped the ‘not‘?

Writing about popes isn’t easy. They should leave that to us who slave long hours trying to keep our facts right about the popes.
