Just SOME of his books on Amazon. Click to ENLARGE. Do a search on Amazon. Easy enough to find.

He was BIG in Britain in the 1970s and 1980s. I bought and read some of his books. I did like and still do remember A House for Mr Biswas.

Just the other day I noticed a stack of his paperbacks in my ‘basement’ storeroom — one of the many places in this house that I have stashes of overflow books. It was amazing that these paperbacks have lasted all these years. I was hoping to read him again, one of these days.

He is younger than I realized. I did NOT want to MISS his birthday. Happy birthday, V.S. Thank you.

“Alice In Wonderland” Lewis Carroll’s 185th Birth Anniversary — In Lieu Of Google Doodle.

by Anura Guruge

There has never been a Google Doodle for British polymath Lewis Carroll, real name: Charles Lutwidge Dodgson.

Other authors, artists and mathematicians, of course, have been honored.

I have a hunch, and that snippet, above, on the left his painting of a young lady, who was his muse for “Alice in Wonderland”.

Laura Collins Lyster-Mensh found me through my “Orgasms 101” book — and I am so glad. We are going to explore the possibility of me doing a small podcasts based on the ‘0ver 50’ stuff I talked about in the book. Of course, as ever, you will be the first to hear about it. In the meantime check out the two Websites above.

The primary thrust of my June 4, 2015 presentation, at 7pm,
at the Gilman Library, Alton, N.H.,
was to publish, LIVE, B.D. (“Brandy”) Adams’ first book
“The Spider Sat Beside Her: A Novel”.

We were successful in that as you can see from the
Amazon listing for the book.

Publication Date: June 4, 2015.

So that was exciting. First time I have published a book with an audience.
In the past I have always done it ALONE.

Somebody else that I encountered on the Web because she ‘commented’ on one of my posts — albeit not on this blog.

I have heard of the “30 Day Writing Challenge” and it looks like a very worthwhile endeavor (though I am way too far gone for it). I read bits of her Day 2 and Day 3. Very good stuff. I wish I could write like that at 21. Always a joy to too new authors at work.

Maybe I, at 62, still can’t write as ‘good’ as she does at 21. Maybe that is my problem. Past caring now. I have fun and that is all that matters given that I have, and will always be, at my very core an hedonist (though to be honest, since the kids, I have always put them first).

Check it. Tomorrow is my “Self-Publishing” presentation at the Alton Library where, with Luck, I will help Brandy DiFauda publish her first book, as a Kindle eBook, LIVE.
