Heard it last night, on the 11pm BBC World News, during my postprandial walk.
45-minutes of exercise, 3-times a week has shown to SLOW down the spread of grey hair.
THIS STRUCK A CHORD!
Why. Within the last month my 14-year old had commented that THE AMOUNT of grey hair I have has not changed much in 5-years. That it has been the same as long as she can remember. I told her that it must be my genes.
But, appears NOT to be the case. They now reckon that genetics only play a 30% role in grey hair.
Well, I exercise, WITHOUT FAIL, 150-minutes a DAY, 7 days a week. That is over 7x (7 times) the recommended level.
Could that be it?
Yes, another Christmas present. This one for her sister.
This was her FIRST foray with clay. I had no idea she was working with clay. This blew me away. She could easily sell these. They are so cute. But, she refuses to sell. Money does not motivate her!
I walked just under 6-miles as you can see from my Garmin read-out above.
It was raining. Not hard. But, persistent. I wore TWO rain jackets, one of top of the other to keep me dry. It worked.
I only managed to walk 12,000 steps on Christmas Eve since I had to go pick up a car, in Vermont, with my daughter. So, I needed to compensate.
Plus, I knew I would be cooking a 8lbs ham — & that I would eat a 1/4 of that myself. SMILE.
So, it worked out. I think I expended just about enough calories for all that I consumed later in the evening.
