Supposed Major Corruption At St. Peter’s Basilica (Vatican), But Cardinal Angelo Comastri Remains Unscated.
A lot of serious stuff going on in this regard. One or more senior St. Peter’s Basilica officials are supposed to have been involved in some huge financial irregularities — much of it related to fancy/posh real estate outside of Italy, e.g., in the heart of London. Wow. Such hanky-panky used to the prerogative of the infamous ‘Vatican Bank‘. But, it now appears that folks working for St. Peter’s wanted some of the action — & financial gain — too. OK. The Vatican is no stranger to corruption. We get that.
What I am confused about is why Cardinal Angelo Comastri has been left in the clear. Ahhh! Doesn’t make sense to I. Yes, the Vatican does anything & everything to protect & Teflon coat cardinals — the Princes of the Church. But, can it carry on like this.
Stay tuned.
