2020 Summer Solstice Is A Week Away, But We Are Having Our Earliest Sunrises.

2020 Summer Solstice (my least favorite day of the year) is on June 20.

We will have 15 hours & 23 minutes of daylight.

Sunrise & sunset times are NOT in (& never are) in lock-step. So, we don’t get the earliest sunrise coupled with the latest sunset on the Summer Solstice.

This year the earliest sunrises, at 5:05am, are happening right now — and will be done on June 18. Sunsets, however, continue to be later. Which is how we still managed to get the longest day on the Solstice. But, we are now talking in SECONDS.
