The Famous Camel In Alton (NH), ‘Roger’, May Be Moving — Farm For Sale.

UPDATE
Drove by the farm, which is on Route 28, this morning & was very surprised to see the ‘For Sale‘ signs.
Haven’t been by there in over a week. So, not sure when the signs went up. Wow.
No idea why it would be for sale. The ‘young’ couple that owned it seems to have made a real go of it.
I got out to take pictures & maybe see ‘Roger‘. Didn’t see him or the bison. Just a few sheep.
Hhmmmm.
Can’t remember exactly when I last saw ‘Roger’. It was a few months ago. I had forgotten the bison!
Yikes. Is ‘Roger’ still there? We might have to make a movie: “Who Uprooted Roger Camel“.

Greetings Anura,
A friend directed me to your blog here. I thought it might be helpful to let you know that we are moving. We have loved Alton, it has been a wonderful home for the past seven years. We were extremely blessed and grateful to raise our kids in this awesome location. We are moving primarily because of changes in work. But to be candid, we also are looking for a bit more privacy. To put everyone’s mind at ease, Roger is alive and well. He has been re-homed down to Charmingfare Farm in Candia N.H. This was obviously a very long and difficult decision for us as he is family, but it became increasingly difficult to provide the best care for him as we were becoming more involved in overseas medical missions. He is doing very well at Charmingfare farm, getting regular training and tons of love and attention. We wish our Alton family well!! God Bless!

Thank YOU, Thank YOU. (We have touched base a few years ago. SMILE).
I have been doing Roger updates ONCE I saw the farm was for sale. We looked at the listing. It is a beautiful property.
Glad to hear about Roger. We miss him. I will check him out at ‘Charmingfare Farm’. Funny. I hear radio commercials from them, BUT I don’t think I heard them mention they have a camel.
I wish you all the very best. Sorry to see you go. Your place, with or without Roger, was always nice to see, with your plants & signs for ‘puppies for sale’.
I will update the Roger posts. Thank you. ALL THE BEST.
Keep in touch.
