The window bird feeder we had, on the ground floor, was attracting a fair number of birds — though it took nearly a year for them to find the feeder. They really are bird brained!
Given the amount of time I spend in my office, with a window just 4′ to my right, I thought it would be nice to have visits from some birds. But, my office is right at the top of this colonial-style house. What would be considered the attic in most other houses. The 4th floor in this house. It is high off the ground. Not sure whether birds will detect the bird feed.
Not sure if birds are color blind. Put a bright yellow ear of corn in the feeder today hoping that they might see (or smell) it. I will have to look it up,
The roof you see below is that of a the garage.
I am hoping that this bird feeder is beyond the reach of the bears. Yes, given their prodigious climbing abilites — & I have seen them climb trees — they could reach it, if they really tried. But, I am hoping that they will appreciate that it is a lot of work. If they grab at the feeder, it will come off & the bear WILL tuble backwards! That would result in quite the commotion.
In the middle picture you can see the corner of my desk & across it some of the shelves housing MY TOYS! You can also see the rearview mirror I have so I can see what is happening in our drive without having to get up from my PC. I also have our security system monitor in front of me — BUT I have to get up to see that.
Do you like my semi-topless Hawaiian hula girl. I actually have two. One is solar powered & dances for I, non-stop, when the sun is shining.
Quite the sale.
A venerable Fenix 6 for $450 is one heck of a deal.
And yes, I know what it signifies. The Fenix 7 is in the wings — maybe a July/August announce. That is about the right timing.
But, in the interim. A Fenix 6 for $450. That is a STEAL. Best smartwatch deal right now!

The DESTROYED Bird Feeder
This morning we got to properly survey the damage he/she did.
Pretty impressive. Never realized that they were THAT strong.
I eventually managed to straighten the pole BUT I had to use a hammer. The bear bent it with its bear hands. Wow.
Bringing everything in. Also moving feeders to upper floors of the house! Will tell you more later.
