The New ‘Fitbit Charge 4’ GPS Appears To Be Highly Accurate — Better Than Garmin Fenix 6!

I will not mince words. I am very impressed with the Fitbit Charge 4. Most accurate Fitbit I have encountered and it was my 5th.
I have worn it for 4-days now, side-by-side, on the same wrist, as my $700 Garmin Fenix 6. Step count on the Fitbit Charge 4 has tracked that of the Fenix pretty well. Within 1%. That is amazing for a Fitbit.
And then GPS. Wow. Am I blown away. You have two GPS tracks above.
I would contend that on the longer walk the Fitbit GPS tracked my path better — with more detail. I walked with the dogs and they drag me from side-to-side of the road — and these are DIRT ROADS in the woods with hardly any traffic. So, crisscrossing is not an issue.
Then having the ‘heart rate’ & ‘pace’ overlays on top of the GPS track — brilliant & magic. Love it.
I am humbled. As many of you know, I am a Garmin MAN — and I even own Garmin shares (and have done so for a longtime). Yes, I owned Fitbit too, but that was NOT pretty.
No, I will NOT be wearing the Fitbit Charge 4. SMILE. Slightly too small for my liking. I will be sending it back, with my compliments, to my friends at ‘Heart Rate Monitors USA’ who were kind enough to ship me this for evaluation. Job done. I am pleased. Nice tracker.
Well done, Fitbit.
