Yes, New Year’s EVE would make more sense.
But, unlike an ‘Eve’ this is full-day, FULL holiday.
National Holiday, April 13 & April 14. We like our holidays.
I, alas, do NOT celebrate the Sinhalese New Year — other than on the Web.
My U.S. family is totally oblivious and has NO interest in learning, let alone observing. IF I did say ‘Presents’ they may be more motivated.
It was my beloved grandmother’s birthday. So, it was always a dual celebration. She was the one that brought me up.
So, HAPPY “Old Year” 2020.

I have been waiting for the ‘Loony Bin’ BLAME GAME to start. No, no, NOT just Trump. He can’t help it.
I had NOT seen this one coming. Sins of bullfighting?
But, it started it China and they don’t have bullfighting.
I also LOVE the whole ‘Kharmic‘ thing.
So, how does that kick in? Who administers it.
And yes, quite a few of my ‘relatives’ subscribe to such stuff. I am so lucky that I was adopted. SMILE.

Just Google: ‘why no sign language at white house‘
I had kind of noticed this, in passing, in the past, but it never ‘registered’ per se.
But, now with everyone doing Coronavirus COVID-19 briefings IT is so obvious … so glaring … so conspicuous.
Nothing at the White House.
Then they cut to a briefing from a State and voila (though I just learnt that NY doesn’t do it either).
Does NOT make sense.
You would think there would be a law. Maybe not.
BUt, I wanted to bring it to your attention.
YES, it is true that most modern TVs and streaming devices do support on-the-fly subtitling. But, you can’t assume that everybody has that capability or can ‘read’.
I just want CONSISTENCY.
If the States (bar NY) do it, shouldn’t the White House?
That is all. SMILE.
