‘Chick-Fil-A’, At Albany (New York) Airport Will Deliver — Albeit Just In The Airport.
I don’t think I have ever had ‘Chick-Fil-A’. So, I am NOT sure what I am missing. Yes, I have heard stories. I just looked. The nearest one to I is in Nashua, which is 90-minutes away. Hhhhm! The next time I am down South I will have to keep an eye.
I heard the story about these College kids that desperately wanted some ‘Chick-Fil-A’ chicken, on my radio, during my morning walk. That it was Albany Airport resonated. I think I have only flown into Albany Airport once (and I am sure I have never flown out of it). But, that was a pretty special flight for I. One I still remember — 52-years later. Yes, it was in 1968! 52-years ago. So, why was it so special. First airport I ever flew to on MY OWN. I was 14. Not sure exactly how it came to be. We, my adoptive parents and I, were travelling in New York state — we living in Buffalo, NY, 1967-1968. We were in NY city, by car. We were driving back to Buffalo, via Albany. Somehow my father had a ticket Albany, which he didn’t want or need. I convinced him to let me use the ticket and fly from LaGuardia to Albany — and for them to pick me up. He agreed. It was to be my Summer adventure. First flight on my own. I had been flying, frequently, all my life. But never on my own. It worked out. It was an adventure. I waited at Albany for them to arrive. So, that was the main reason this story piqued my interest. ‘My’ airport. I am sure there was no ‘Chick-Fil-A’ in 1968.
These kids should have had the gumption to first call up ‘Chick-Fil-A’ before they pooled their money to buy that $98 ticket.
‘Chick-Fil-A’ would have brought the food out for them. Now we all know. I am sure they are going to be doing a roaring business — following this publicity and now that everyone knows that they will deliver.
Only in America.
