‘Vera’ has become one of our FAVORITE British shows — with ‘Downton‘ & ‘Shetland‘ the only others in that very top echelon. Teischan loves the show. She is re-watching all of the earlier seasons and I think she has watched some of the episodes more than twice — already.
She was so happy that there is a Season 10. I am glad too.
We watched the first half of episode 1 today. We didn’t notice any obvious changes from the last two seasons. The same main characters and they don’t seem to have aged or changed. They are sticking, faithfully, to the tried, tested and proven formula. Nothing wrong with that. We love it like that. Can’t comment on the story as yet since we haven’t seen all of it. So far, so good. The usual twists and surprises.
Well, just wanted to make sure you knew that ‘Vera’ was BACK.

Cracked me up. NOTHING, at all, at all wrong with it. Actually very, very clever. I tip my hat to her.
You get it, right? Love the folds. Wow. Love where her head is positioned.
No. No. It is NOT a matter of getting your mind off the gutter. She wanted to see how many would get it.
Very, very old and sacred symbology. Font of Life. Where all life starts (bar modern ‘test tube’, IVF, babies).
You do KNOW that church, cathedral and abbey doorways have portrayed this since time immemorial. You did KNOW that, right? See classic picture below.
I had not encountered this lady before BUT I will rectify that soon.
Just observe and marvel.

You do get the symbology … right? Intentional. Was meant to take YOU back to where you came from. Very clever. Very obvious.
