What an incredible, enchanting, mesmerizing delight — a feast for all your senses — just outside of Ellsworth (Maine), on Route 1a, the GATEWAY to Acadia.

We saw the building in June 2017, the first time we went to Acadia via Bangor (and Route 1a) rather than the longer (and maybe the more scenic) Route 1.

In 2017 it was empty. We thought that that was a great shame.

In June 2018 as we drove by we saw activity and stopped. They said they were going to be opening next week! We were excited.

This June we stopped. And aren’t we glad we did.

What a place. Creativity and imagination run riot. And a treasure trove of wonderful STUFF. Not badly priced either. Yes, individual consignment stalls and it all blends together into a tantalizing whole. We could have spent hours there BUT we know we will stop each and every time we go to Acadia and we go to Acadia quite a lot.

You have to stop, explore and enjoy. You will love it and memories will stay with you for a long time.

Enjoy.

I am SO impressed, so happy. This is so pro-female, pro-children. It is great. I am so proud of her — Caroline Dillion. I do not know her but wish her all the best and hope she goes far. Maybe a FUTURE president. She will be good.

As a father of three daughters, who still lives in a house with three females I surely can relate to this. SMILE.

That there could be kids in the U.S. that don’t have access to these essential products is criminal.

I am so glad that New Hampshire is putting this right.

I have no idea. But, what will it increase my property tax bill by — $10/year. I, for one, am happy to pay. I will even pay more. SMILE.

Reading about this MADE MY DAY!

Yet Another Walk In The Woods, ‘Chamberlain Road’, Alton, New Hampshire — July 16, 2019.

Another rugged, secluded trail, through thick woods, v. close to home that I had never ventured on prior to this because as with ‘Africa Road‘, yesterday, I thought it was private — and I stay away from private property. Interesting and easy hike, though a tad rocky in spots and waterlogged at one end. It was fun though kind of monotonous. Nothing to see but woods and there is no reward at the end. Just turn around and walk back. But, great exercise and I got my 4-miles in. So, I am happy.
