Cardinal George Pell, Convicted Child Abuser, Still In Prison, In Australia, Awaiting Outcome Of Appeal.

George Pell (b. 1941, 77-years old) was convicted of ‘sodomy’
in December 2018.

He was given a 6-year prison sentence.

He has been serving that sentence since at least February 2019 (if not earlier).

Occurred to me this morning that it has been a ‘MONTH’ since the appeal and we have not heard anything. So, I went looking.

Wow, no decision yet — even though the initial prognostications were that we would hear within a fortnight.

So, Pell, still a full cardinal, languishes in prison — supposedly in 23-hour solitary confinement. Must give him plenty of time to contemplate and pray.
