Sri Lanka In The News Again With “The Bridge On The River Kwai” — BUT I Covered It 4-Years AGO!
But, I covered basically the SAME story
4-years ago.
Moreover, as I explain, I have been to BOTH sites —
the REAL ONE in Thailand and the
make believe movie set in Sri Lanka!
Happened to see it in the U.K. “Daily Mail“, which I read online, on my tablet, first thing in the morning, in bed, while drinking my first cup of coffee. Daily ritual going back decades.
Caught my eye. Made me smile. I knew I had done the same story some years ago. So, I am sharing. Enjoy.

Continuing the series. This is the second overlook on the South Rim — that being the more visited Rim. You can clearly see the river bed and one farm. This was was greenest part of the Canyon this year.

IF I Didn’t Have A Real Camera I Would Consider This ‘Pictar Pro’ For My Google Pixel 2.

IF I didn’t have a real camera (or in my case two, i.e., Sony a7 II & Nikon P900) I would consider getting this ‘Pictar Pro‘ to use with my Google Pixel 2 phone. I miss having a GRIP and control wheels. But, I can’t justify it. If I want the feel of a real camera I can use one of my real cameras. Yes, I use the Google Pixel 2 phone in places, e.g., shows, where I cannot take a camera — BUT I can see that using this will lead to trouble. Does make your phone look like a camera.

I am not happy BUT I think this is progress. There is one and only one Tamron lens that I am interested in. It addresses ALL my zoom needs. I really would like it to work flawlessly on a Nikon Z6. If it doesn’t I will have to get the Nikon version and that costs twice as much and is twice as heavy.
Luckily time is on my side. I don’t plan to get the Nikon Z6 till 2019. So, I have time … I think.

This is the lens I want. I will be getting rid of a Sony 24-240mm. So, this will give me more reach at a lower price!
