Maybe I Am Doing Better Than I Realize.
I saw this on Facebook this morning, in the ‘Garmin Connect Users‘ group that I belong to.
I was impressed. It said ‘OPTIMAL’.
I never check any of this ‘Performance’ or ‘Training’ stuff on my Garmin Fenix 5 because I assume I am a slug and all that it is going to show that is that I am old, feeble and a loser when it comes to health & fitness.
But, I was curious. I knew where to look. Just pressing a few buttons. This is what I GOT! Wow. I was impressed.
Close to TWICE his reading. His was in the ‘green‘ ‘optimal’ zone. Mine was in the ‘RED’ ‘High’ zone. Wow. So, maybe I might be doing something right and might not be the total loser on the fitness front that I think of myself as being.

What did YOU expect? That I was going to say Donald Trump or Brett Kavanaugh? Nope I was being quite literal. This is a bad apple.

The ‘Holiday Inn’ just ahead of the entrance to the Canyon is the OTHER motel — and it has been there for a long time. It too, of course, has a trading post — Garcia’s. This is the outside of that. We did shop there too. Not bad.

“Woman Walks Ahead” Movie (2017) — The New “Dances With Wolves”; (It Is That Good).

Click to ENLARGE and read here. She, Caroline Weldon, was a real person, an actual painter. Movie is based on a TRUE story though the movie takes some poetic license. Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caroline_Weldon
“Dances with Wolves” is one of my favorite movies and one of the few that I have watched multiple times — once quite recently.
So, for me to equate this 2017 movie to that has to mean that it make quite the impression upon I — and it sure did. Powerful and poignant. Immaculately shot and produced. Palpable.
My weekly e-mail from Amazon on its recommended Prime Movies had it at #2. Caught my eye. When I read the description and it said ‘woman painter‘ and ‘Sitting Bull’ I was hooked. Art and native Indians — two topics dear to my heart. I was hoping to watch it with Teischan (12) but it had a ‘R’ rating. I can see why.
So, I watched it on my own. I was riveted. Great movie but an even greater story. Oh, WOW. Man’s inhumanity to man — especially the poor Indians.
Definite, definite ‘must watch’. You will thank me for it.
It will touch your very core.
