‘The New Camera’ Website Consigns The ‘Canon EOS R’ To Be An Entry Level Full-Frame Camera!

by Anura Guruge

Yes, they are an Indian outfit, out of India, that is v. good at scouring the Web for camera rumors but with limited technical understanding and a grasp of English not that dissimilar to Donald Trump. (That they have ‘a entry’ illustrates the latter, to a ‘T’.)

Yes, the Canon EOS R, lacking In-Body Image Stabilization does come up short and I had already discounted it, in favor of the cheaper Nikon Z6, with IBIS, BUT this was amusing to see. Canon could not have been happy because this is a Website that gets a LOT of hits because they are good at giving you scoops.

Just thought I will share this with you in case you hadn’t seen it. It was from September 8, 2018 — 3-days ago.

Entrance to Canyon de Chelly

This is what the entrance to Canyon de Chelly looks like from across the road — from a small hill. That is how you enter the Canyon by ‘jeep‘ or horseback. You can see the tire-tracks very clearly on what is really a dried up river bed. The ‘Junction’ where the Canyon splits into North and South is about 2-miles in from here.

I took this from the supposed ‘Navajo Long Walk’ memorial. It is a small tower of stone. I was told that locals build it over time by just putting stones on top of stones. I will show you that and talk about it in another post. Check out my link for the ‘Navajo Long Walk‘. Very sad. It started pretty close to the Canyon given that the Canyon lies in the very heart of Navajo land.

Switching From Zyrtec To Claritin, Per Doctor’s Orders, Was A TOTAL BUST — Back On Zyrtec.

Cetirizine Hydrochloride = Brand Name: Zyrtec.

I had major reservations about this BUT he was so, so ADAMANT. Given that I need every bit of help I can, given my precarious help, I wasn’t going to take any chances. So, I did switch to 10mg Loratadine (generic Claritin), per day, as the doctor ordered. That was on August 18, 2018. 22-days ago.

Yes, he did say that the Loratadine would not be as effective as it was not as potent. He was bloody right. It was utterly ineffective.

My allergies affect my chest. I had gone nearly 6-years without having too many chest issues, e.g., bouts of regular bronchitis — and that was when I took Zyrtec, religiously, every day.

My chest problems came back with a vengeance. Yes, pollen allergies, to which I am very susceptible, are high right now — and it was doing a job on my chest. I felt like I was having a constant heart-attack (and given my health, it is possible that I was having a few heart attacks too).

To exacerbate matters, Teischan’s allergist TOTALLY disagreed with my doctor though they work in the same facility! She was MAD that I had switched Teischan from Zyrtec to Claritin. She wanted Teischan back on Zyrtec the NEXT day. That was like 10-days ago. She has no idea as to why my doctor, her colleague, asked me to switch.

So, this morning, I was back to Zyrtec. Still having issues but I assume it will take a few days for the Zyrtec to kick-in.

Just wanted to share this with you. OK?
