American Fear Of The Female Breast (& Nipple) — The Alizé Cornet Incident At The U.S. Open.

Why of why of why?

Male players, as you can see from the image above, are allowed to prance around topless — as they should. And remember, I speak as one who goes running TOPLESS, in New Hampshire, most days during the Summer/Fall, including today.

The hypocrisy drives me insane. Why the FEAR of the female breast — and the nipple.

As even a cursory search of this blog will prove, in buckets, I was an early and ardent supporter of ‘Free The Nipple‘. I have never had a problem with female toplessness! I believe in 100% equality when it comes to toplessness (and for that matter skimpy men’s bikini swimwear, e.g., Speedos).

French Alizé Cornet getting penalized at the U.S. Open was beyond stupid. She did NOT expose ANYTHING (and some, I am sure, are saying ‘Alas’).

This has to stop — PLEASE.

Free, Sunscreen Dispensers At “Boston Public Garden”.

Saw these on Sunday, August 26, 2018, when we strolled through the two parks — i.e., Boston Common & the Public Garden — after doing Dim Sum, at the China Pearl, ‘just around the corner‘.

I do NOT use sunscreen, but I know how important it is to others. This is great, especially for the kids. Not sure what the deal is. Appears that it is sponsored by a ‘foundation’. Not sure whether we will see these in Central New Hampshire, but it is a great idea and needs to be applauded.

Bravo & Kudos.

“African Festival Of Boston” (AFOB) — “Boston Commons”, Sunday, August 26, 2018.

We stumbled upon this VIBRANT Festival, serendipitously, on Sunday when we went to Boston for Dim Sum at the China Pearl. Our new routine, as of earlier this year, is to leisurely perambulate through the Commons & the Park after the meal to help digest it. In the Commons & at the Park you never know what you will come across. It is always fun and there are always so much going on.

I wish we had known about this festival beforehand. We would have skipped Dim Sum and had some of their food instead. It looked and smelled divine BUT I was beyond full.

It was fun. Great music and dancing. Bravo. Everybody seemed to be having a great time. Beautiful day. I am glad for the organizers. Maybe next year I can time it better.

Aretha Franklin’s Ostentatious Gold Coffin Does Her An Injustice.

by Anura Guruge

She does NOT need a $40,000 gold coffin (and all the handles etc. are indeed real gold) to make her look good or enhance her image or reputation. This tawdry looking casket diminishes her. Yes, by all means dress her well and put jewelry on her — but she didn’t need such a casket.

I would have thought her upbringing in a religious family would have ensured humility in death. Yes, this could be her family rather than her. But, you would think they would have known better.

There is plenty of poverty in Detroit. It has one of the highest poverty rates among the 20 largest U.S. cities. I had expected better from her. C’est la vie.
