Around 8pm in Alton, New Hampshire. We were coming out of an ‘Alton Central School‘ (ACS) Band Concert held at ‘Prospect Mountain High School‘. Pretty spectacular. Had to take some pictures.

Enjoy.

This is the season, in New Hampshire, for memorable sunsets.

‘Garmin Fenix 5’ Facebook Page.

My other Garmin/Fitbit pages on Facebook.

Given that I already had fairly well visited Facebook pages for the ‘Garmin Forerunner 645‘, ‘Garmin Vivoactive 3‘ and ‘Fitbit Ionic‘, it seemed only sensible to have one for the Garmin Fenix 5 — since that is the only one of these that I now have.

So, that was the rationale.

I get a fair amount of interaction on the Vivoactive 3 page and I even help some folks out.

Maybe, with luck, I can do the same with this Fenix 5 page.

2018 New Hampshire “Lady Slippers” — Still Green.

I went and checked again today (i.e., May 16) — albeit just 2-days after my first sighting.

Sill green though the buds, of course, are more voluptuous and you can see a hint of pink.

Today, I saw at least three more ‘new’ plants — all smaller than the one pictured. That is good news.

I will go and check again in a few days.

Will Google Partner With ‘Misfit’ For Their Pixel Smart/Fitness Watch That Will Compete Against Garmin.

Ideally you would like Google to partner with Garmin (and I do happen to be a long-term Garmin shareholder). My druthers, however, tell me that this is unlikely. I can’t explain it, just a feeling. I just hope that Google doesn’t cut a deal with the ‘DEVIL’ — a.k.a. Fitbit. {Smile}

But, I have been thinking. Google, for obvious reasons, would prefer to work with a manufacturer who is currently using ITS ‘Google Wear OS‘ and has experience with Qualcomm SNAPDRAGON processors. ‘Misfit‘ fits the bill quite nicely — and they do make some impressive watches.

I, of course, can’t be sure, but Misfit is worth keeping on the radar.

I did look at the Misfit Vapor when considering an alternative to the Garmin Vivoactive 3 that died. It just didn’t have all of the fitness/sleep tracking features I was looking for. But they — especially with Google’s resources — could fix that.

Scary — for Garmin!
