Easter, of course, is your original ‘moveable feast‘. It can fall between March 22 and April 25.

So, Easter falling on April 1 is indeed possible.

It just has NOT fallen on April 1 since 1956. That is 62-years ago,

That means Easter on April Fool’s Day will be a first for many.

Just letting you know. Yes, I will do more Easter posts in the coming weeks.

Just wanted to get this out.

Think about. Last time — 62-years ago!

P.S., 62-years is about the LONGEST GAP you can have in terms of Easter falling on the same day of the year.

RECENT In-Depth Review Of Production-Level Garmin Forerunner 645.

by Anura Guruge

Click image to access In-Depth Review.

I have read his reviews before. They are detailed BUT, for whatever reason he doesn’t seem to run into the problems that the rest of us do. Hhmmm.

I skimmed through this mainly for affirmation of my current take on the Forerunner 645. That it does.

Have a look through it. You might learn something. If nothing else the pictures of the various screens are worth seeing.

Garmin Forerunner 645 (Without Music) Available From Amazon As Of March 12, 2018.

by Anura Guruge

Click to ENLARGE. Just search on “Forerunner 645” on Amazon.

I saw the March 12, 2018 date on Amazon late last night.

I checked Garmin. They had bumped up availability by a week and was now saying ‘1 – 2 weeks’ as opposed to the ‘2 – 3 weeks‘ they said just a couple of days ago.

This is GOOD.

I will keep you posted.

I am NOT getting an early unit! Got burned with the Garmin Vivoactive 3. I am going to wait until the likes of Amazon are on their 3rd or 4th batch — though I PLAN to get my Garmin Forerunner 645 from “Heart Rate Monitors USA” since they are SO, SO GOOD.

We Prevailed Over The March 2018 Winter Storm “Mighty Quinn”.

by Anura Guruge

Before and After

We got a foot of snow — BUT not too much wind and we did NOT lose power, though I had the three (3) generators lined up and read to go.

Lot of snow. But, we have seen worse.

Cleared all that we wanted to clear in just under an hour with three of us shoveling.

I did NOT clear the mailbox as yet. That can wait. Temperature is already above freezing and I am going let the Sun do some melting.

Yes, this too, in the end, was a Southern Storm — meaning folks South of us got the brunt of it.

Glad it is behind us.

I probably will be shoveling into the weekend.

But, we subdued the “Mighty Quinn“.

Wow. 5 updates in 48-days! That is just CRAZY. An update every 10 days.

Come on!

That is bad. That is pathetic. Fitbit OBVIOUSLY is not testing this software. Just throwing it over the fence. No wonder so many of YOU are having so many problems.

We should take a stand.

This is crazy. That is LOT of BUGS they are fixing.

Pope Paul VI Was A Very Decent Human Being, But He Was NO Saint!

by Anura Guruge

Click to ENLARGE. Google for all the coverage you seek.

Pope Paul VI (1897 – 1978), pope from 1963 to 1978, was a GOOD pope, he was also an outstanding human being and had a heart of gold. I like Paul VI. He was a likeable person.

But he is NO Saint. That is not a sin. We can’t all be saints.

The Vatican’s preference of late to try and canonize all recent popes, within just decades of their demise, is DEVALUING the sanctity of sainthood.

The rush to make John Paul II to a saint was unbecoming and it does not sit well with many.

Pope John XXIII earned his and his took longer.

I am sure that Paul VI will be the first to agree that he is NOT a saint.

He had issues and made some serious miscalculations that are still impacting the WORLD when it comes to birth control (his infamous Humanae vitae) and sexuality. And despite his moralistic views on the later, even today there are questions as to HIS sexuality. He was NO saint.

I will, time permitting, elaborate on this in the coming weeks, BUT I want to go on record that I, for one, feel very strongly that canonizing Paul VI, this early and this quickly, is plain wrong and crazy.
